From November 5, 2010, the gallery of the Willi Sitte Foundation for Realist Art in Merseburg is presenting a group exhibition with the associative title “Cassandra on the Forum”, which critically reflects on the artistic reception of ancient mythological material. The show brings together paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures by some of the most important German artists of the post-1945 period, with a particular emphasis on current positions.
