Thanks to the support of the collector Fritz P. Mayer, the Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig was able to acquire the painting “Leipziger am Meer” by Erich Kissing. The painting is currently on display in the basement of the museum, in the exhibition on artists of the Leipzig School, including Werner Tübke, Wolfgang Mattheuer, Bernhard Heisig and Arno Rink.
