Wolfgang Mattheuer

Wolfgang Mattheuer, one of the co-founders of the Leipzig School, is one of the great landscape painters of the 20th century and can be placed somewhere between the romantic tradition and critical realism. The publication was published on the occasion of the exhibition “Wolfgang Mattheuer. Between Idyll and Catastrophe” at the Kunstverein Coburg in 1999 and shows over 100 important paintings by the Leipzig painter. With a text by Eduard Beaucamp.
