Frank Hauptvogel

The publication “Frank Hauptvogel – In den Gärten” is the first published artist monograph on the Leipzig School artist Frank Hauptvogel. Hauptvogel – born in Lutherstadt Eisleben in 1959 – studied painting in Arno Rink’s class at the renowned Leipzig Academy of Visual Arts. His painterly oeuvre is very exquisite and comprises just over 100 paintings, the majority of which are illustrated in this monograph. Viewers can also immerse themselves in the numerous details of the mostly large-format works. Gerd Lindner – Director of the Panoramamuseum Bad Frankenhausen – has contributed a comprehensive text that will form the basis for any further research on the artist. Numerous art-historical references are also integrated into the text. Meinhard Michael and André Schinkel add further contributions to the dense text.
