Gero Künzel

Gero Künzel studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig and is considered Bernhard Heisig’s last master student. His pictures are characterized by a powerful painting style. The thick application of paint creates a three-dimensional relief. The flowers, landscapes and portraits can thus be rediscovered from different angles. Gero Künzel’s works can initially be experienced primarily through the senses and thus continue an expressive line. The catalog shows the latest paintings created on the occasion of his exhibition at Galerie Schwind Frankfurt.
