From August 6 to November 1, 2022, the Kunsthalle Jesuitenkirche Aschaffenburg is presenting a retrospective exhibition of the Leipzig painter Erich Kissing (*1934). The exhibition focuses on Kissing’s long-standing relationship with his model Kerstin, which appears in numerous works in his oeuvre in a finely painted manner and in surrealistic scenes. In addition to the 30 works by Erich Kissing on display, the exhibition also includes works by artists such as Leif Borges, Michael Triegel and Günter Rössler, for whom Kerstin was also a model.
