Museum Tübke Studio

24. August 2023

After the Tübke Foundation moved out of the attic of the Tübke Villa in December 2022, the non-profit Tübke Atelier e.V. was formed with the intention of not leaving the artist’s former studio rooms unused and empty, but to use them as a living exhibition, memorial and educational space. The redesigned museum will open on May 25, 2024.

The aim of the Tübke Atelier Association is to preserve the artistic legacy of the Leipzig artist Werner Tübke at his place of work, the artist’s former studio in the attic of the so-called “Tübke Villa” in Leipzig Gohlis, and to bring it closer to visitors. The association’s activities initially focus on restoring and preserving the studio rooms and developing a new, contemporary exhibition and communication concept. Interested visitors will be given free public access to Werner Tübke’s former workspace. Permanent and special exhibitions will make Werner Tübke’s work and life accessible to the public in an appealing way.
