The chalk lithograph “Annunciation of the Uprisings” shows a scene of the Annunciation. The angel’s message can be recognized by the symbols in the medallions on the left and right of the picture. The Bundschuh flag and knight refer to the Peasants’ War in the early 16th century. The graphic from 1980 can be classified as part of Tübke’s extensive collection of motifs for the panorama painting in Bad Frankenhausen. Using historical sources, Werner Tübke attempted to create an authentic image of the time around 1525. The sheet is sold unframed. The chalk lithograph was published in an edition of 32. Printed by Horst Arloth.
