Wolfgang Mattheuer

This publication is the first to reproduce all 742 paintings by the Leipzig painter and co-founder of the Leipzig School, Wolfgang Mattheuer (1927-2004). He is considered one of the most important German painters and graphic artists after 1945. The book was published on the occasion of the retrospective of his 90th birthday at the Kunsthalle Rostock. Edited by Stefanie Michels with texts by Eduard Beaucamp, Annette Müller-Spreitz, Stefanie Michels and Anja Hertel.
