Werner Tübke: 25 years of the monumental painting Bad Frankenhausen

On October 16, 1987, 25 years ago now, Werner Tübke signed the monumental painting in the Panorama Museum Bad Frankenhausen. Behind him lay painstaking years of preparation and execution of his magnum opus, which could be realized largely thanks to the valuable support of other artists.
To mark the anniversary, MDR will be showing a television report “Tübke’s World Theatre – 25 Years of the Peasants’ War Panorama” on 16 October at 8.45 pm. A film by Daniel Baumbach
