The church in Zellerfeld, which houses the winged altar painted by Werner Tübke, had been closed since 2011 for renovation work. Werner Tübke was commissioned by Bishop Eduard Lohse to create a winged altar for the church. This was consecrated in 1997 and is now open to the public again after a long break.
