Since Monday, March 30, 2015, the 2.4 x 13.8 m mural “Working Class and Intelligentsia” by Werner Tübke has been installed on the second floor of the lecture hall building at Leipzig University. It had been stored in the depot of the Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig since 2006, after being removed from the old university building. With the new university building, the mural, which was commissioned by the university between 1970 and 1973, will finally have a new publicly accessible location.
