Mattheuer’s artistic path did not begin as a painter, but as a graphic artist, in which he also received his professional and artistic training. It was only after his studies and the beginning of his teaching career at Leipzig University that he found his way to painting relatively late, at the age of thirty! It is therefore more than justified to dedicate an exhibition to him that only shows works on paper. <\/p>\n
