The Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle, Netherlands, will be showing the two Leipzig painters Wolfgang Mattheuer and Markus Matthias Krüger together from October 14, 2017. The retrospective for Wolfgang Mattheuer's 90th birthday shows over 80 works by the painter. At the same time, 40 works by the young Leipzig artist Markus Matthias Krügers, who was awarded the Ursula Mattheuer-Neustädt and Wolfgang Mattheuer Prize this year, will be shown.

Two major commissions by Michael Triegel were inaugurated and presented to the public these days. On April 22, the devotional painting for the church of St. Peter and Paul in Würzburg was blessed in a festive ceremony and presented to the congregation. The Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig is showing the exhibition "GDR on Walls - Young Perspectives on Leipzig Painting after 1949".
