The Chemnitz Art Collections will present an exhibition from October 3, 2026, through April 11, 2027
The exhibition showcases the breadth of this artist couple’s work by not only commemorating the 100th anniversaries—Ursula Mattheuer-Neustädt’s in 2026 and Wolfgang Mattheuer’s in 2027—but also through their respective bodies of work, exploring fundamental questions of life such as the individual, freedom, and love.
“100 Years of Ursula Mattheuer-Neustädt and Wolfgang Mattheuer” is an exhibition project organized by the Chemnitz Art Collections, the Museum of Fine Arts in Leipzig, and the LUDWIGGALERIE at Oberhausen Castle.
