The exhibition at the Kunsthalle Rostock shows around 100 drawings from the years 1941-2002 by the Leipzig painter Wolfgang Mattheuer and thus marks the beginning of a series of personal exhibitions that will take place on the occasion of his 100th birthday in 2027. The drawings come from the artist’s estate, which comprises several thousand sheets, and show impressions of Mattheuer’s numerous trips to Germany and abroad.
